Update: Corporate America, You’re Not Ready for Internal Clouds! Or IT Ops Your Head Is In the Wrong Part of the Body.

GigaOm picked up James article. It's worth sharing the picture, which I couldn't share with you earlier (oh you powerful media, you!).

The graphic below says Applications groups are massively adopting the cloud, while IT Ops groups are stuck with their head looking in the wrong place. 24% of Apps have cloud, vs 5% of what IT ops thinks. As I've written before in "Sixteen Digits to Freedom," the cloud is credit card away.

It ends with a threat that if enterprise IT shops don’t adopt the cloud, their developers will likely build their own projects outside of the corporate firewall and leave IT with a mess to clean up if the project becomes a success.
